Persepolis

   

   The main character of this story is named Marjane. She was a young girl who was able too see God. In her school they were forced to wear a veil on their heads when the "Islamic Revolution" began. Most girls didn't like the idea of wearing it. At school Marjane is being made fun of because she wants to become a prophet. She wants to become a prophet because she wants to help people by making the world a better place to live in. Every night she talks to God. God wants Marjane's dream about becoming a prophet to come true. When a warehouse was burned many people that got locked inside died. Marjane wanted to do something about it but her parents said that nothing could be done. Marjane learned that her grandfather was a Prime Minister back in the old days. Her mom and grandmother tell her about how poor they were during the early years. They also tell her how her grandpa went to jail and how they kept them in jails full of water.

"Don't Hide Your Beauty With Make-up"

I came up with the quote~Don't Hide Your Beauty With Make-up~ because I think that everyone is perfect just the way they are. Sure make-up dose make you look pretty but hey too much make-up isn't good for you. I personally don't like to wear make-up. It's not that i get to lazy to put it on but     it's because it just doesn't go with me. Most of the girls now a days that wear make-up are already pretty. There are many reasons why girls wear make-up. It can be because they want to look prettier or because they think they look ugly without it. I also think that the quote "Simple is beautiful" relates to my quote because they kinda make you understand the same thing. Above is a picture of a celebrity with and without make-up. Which one looks better?

Whale Rider: Review

     The movie Whale Rider is about a young girl named Pai. Pai had a twin brother but unfortunatly he died at birth along with her mother. Koro, Pai's grandfather, wanted the baby boy to live too because the baby boy was gunna be the new leader of their tribe. Koro wished that Pai's twin brother was the one who had survived instead of her. Since Koro didn't have a grandson to be the leader of their tribe he trained other boys to see which one of them became the new leader. Pai also wanted to be trained but her grandfather wouldn't let her. Koro tells the boys to find his whale tooth necklace, but the boys fail to find it. Pai is the one who finds it while she is fishing . A group of whales appear on the shore. When the village people try their best effort to get them back into the water and fail the whales start to die one by one. Pai rides on top of the biggest whale and soon the whales go back into the water. The whales take Pai with them and the village people think that she is dead, but she recovers at the hospital. At last all of the village people make a traditional celebration. I think that this movie teaches an important lesson which is that no matter how strong or weak you are you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. This movie also proves that you shouldn't judge people by their looks because Koro thought that Pai wasn't strong enough to be their leader only because she was a girl. I personally enjoyed watching this movie.

Music'<3!

I love listening to music because I can express myself. There are many different types of music. I personally like bachata. I also like other type of music, well I really like all types of music except for country. When I'm cleaning my room or doing my hair I like to listen to music. Whenever we go out I always take my I-pod and here music along the way because it keeps me entertained. Even though I enjoy listening to music a lot I don't like to have it at full volume when I have my earphones on. The only time that I listen to loud music is when I don't have my earphones with me. I can connect to music depending on my mood status. For example if I'm feeling sad I would listen to sad music. If I'm feeling happy or excited I would listen to hip hop or rap music. That is why I love music.(:
